t is a small village very important for the history of the place thanks to its strategic position, in fact you can admire a spectacular view. Known for the Museum of Plaster Figurines and Emigration which displays over 800 pieces of plaster, the result of the profession practiced for several centuries by the local inhabitants, the figurine makers. If you come in August you will be lucky enough to experience the most important festival of the year: a night in the ancient village, a real leap into the Middle Ages.

A significant attraction of the place is the Castle of Ghivizzano. After the important redevelopment, today it is possible to admire the entire tower called “Torre di Castruccio”, the Roman walls then reinstated by the leader and the characteristic Via Sossala, internal street, under the arches of the city walls. The adjacent hills are animated by many enchanting villages and an uncontaminated nature rich in forests and woods.
Coreglia is also the perfect place for a tasty and interesting tasting of the typical products of the area, among the best known is the “Bazzone” ham which has the slow food protection brand.
